Discovered Apps

Click on the Discovery menu item in the WitnessAI console. Choose the top-level Discovered Apps tab. This view lists the AI applications accessed by people in your organization, organized by category..

Select the Time Range, Data Criticality, and Categories: At the top of the Discovered Apps view, find the time range filter (it may default to something like "Last 7 days"). Click this date filter and choose the period you want to analyze (for example, Last 7 days or Last 30 days). This ensures you’re looking at app usage within a specific timeframe. Click any Data Criticality and Category items you’re interested in reviewing. All the metrics and charts displayed will be refined by the filters..

View App Details

Who uses this App?

Once you have the list of Apps, you can learn more about any App on the list.

Click on an App’s name to open its Detail Panel. The detail panel provides additional information such as a description of the App, its category, the first time it was seen in your environment, its risk rating, and the number of users over the selected time period.

The Overview tab lists the headquarters of the vendor, and an extensive list of Supply Chain data, that the App depends on for data, support, and hosting.

The Users tab displays which specific users have accessed the App during the chosen time range, helping you assess its popularity and importance to the organization.

The Security tab displays a host of information to understand the App’s Compliance Certifications, Security Practices, and Authentication Details. Reviewing these details will help you assess any risks associated with the App, and if it meets your organizations security policy and compliance requirements.

What Apps does this person use?

Filter to the discovered apps you’d like to investigate.
On the right sidebar, click on the “Users” tab to view all users.
On your chosen Users’s detail window, click on the “Applications” tab.
